My Dad and I got together today to play our first game for the Operation Sea Lion Campaign being put on by WWPD.net. This is a first round game designed to help the Germans make a beach head in southern England before the full campaign gets underway in the middle of the month.
Special rules for some of the platoons, like the swim panzer IVs and IIIs can be found in this .pdf put out by WWPD.

Views from the beach as German barges approach the landing zone

A heavy naval bombardment takes a heavy toll on the Soviet AA battery and 2nd platoon.

As German troops and tanks make their landing one of the Panzer IIIs tips side ways and sinks to the bottom of the channel

The first German troops storm the beaches

As the Stukas dive down on the beaches one is hit by Soviet AA fire

But two Stuka's make their was through the flak and drop their bombs on the British

German assault troops storm forward

German armor on the beach roll forward and pin the British bunker

More Germans disembark from their landing craft to support the armor

Germans start working on clearing a path through the British wire

Light artillery support is dropped off to support the assault

The Germans assault all along the front

Assault Engineers began the task of clearing a path through the minefield for the armor

The British deal out heavy casualties on the Germans clearing the wire

But the Germans keep pushing forward

Soviet AA shoot down another Stuka

British armored reserves arrive to try to thwart the attack

A German Panzer III is knocked out by a 6 pdr in the trenches

Heavy British artillery slam into the assaulting Germans

A worn down German platoon assaults the Brits in the trenches

They manage to force their way into the trenches

British Sherman takes aim at the assaulting Germans

British artillery tears the remaining Germans from the first wave to pieces

Fresh German troops make landing

Germans consolidate their position in the trenches

German Naval fire slams the into the British second line

While Stukas take out a Sherman

Germans spred out in the trenches and begin to fire upon the British in the second line

Another German tank is knocked out as more troops come ashore

The British armor bogs on a stone wall

After pioneers clear the minefield a Panzer charges forward only to be knocked out by the bunker

Up on the hill a fierce fore fight breaks out between the trenches.

More Naval fire reigns down on the Brits

German reserves surge forward

Under fire from 25 pdrs

Pioneers send their Goliath toward the bunker

BOOM!!!

With the bunker knocked out the Germans take the rest of the trench

After taking the trench the Germans move to assault the next trench line

And quickly over run the position

Pioneers move to clear more wire under fire from an HMG bunker

Flame throwers bail a Sherman

Germans clear the last British troops on the bluff

While another flame thrower torches another tank

Follow up assaults take out bother Shermans and the HMG bunker

The Germans emerge victorious. They continue to push inland and make room for the bulk of the German army which is ready to continue its invasion of England.

Love the AAR! Especially the shots of the reinforcements crossing the beach!
Really like those trenches. You make them?
hahaha this was more spectacular than I could've imagined! Great landing! We've made headway as well- batrep tomorrow!
@ neal - i made the trenches out of basswood, balsa wood, coffee sticks, putty, ballast and copious amounts of paint and glue.
now i need to do a FJ attacking the canal game, but i am out of town next weekend.
Love the terrain!
Great report and the trenches are really great! When I have room for a table and terrain I'll be making some trenches like these, look so much better than the ones that have only the fronts.
thank you, its nice to have a game room at my dads, hehehe
bey a house then you can have a game room
you wish :)
